  • Overview

Schuyler Mansion State Historic Site to Host Volunteers for Park & Trails New York’s I Love My Park Day event.

Schuyler Mansion is excited to host volunteers as part of I Love My Park Day, a statewide initiative bringing together thousands of volunteers to enhance and beautify New York’s state parks and historic sites. On May 3, 2025, more than 100 parks across the state will see community members rolling up their sleeves to clean, restore, and improve these beloved outdoor spaces.

I Love My Park Day isn’t just about cleanup—it’s a celebration of New York’s world-class parks system. Volunteers at Schuyler Mansion will engage in impactful projects such as planting gardens, beautifying the grounds, and preparing the site for the 2025 season. Through their efforts, they will ensure that the home of American Revolutionary War Major General Philip Schuyler remains a beautiful and welcoming place for all.

New York is a national leader in conservation and outdoor recreation, with state parks and trails generating over $40 billion annually and supporting hundreds of thousands of jobs. Friends groups and volunteers provide critical assistance to ensure parks thrive despite budget constraints. Their work directly contributes to safer, cleaner, and more resilient public spaces, ensuring that future generations can continue to enjoy these natural and historic treasures.
